Sikkim CM calls on Union Home minister raises pending Sikkim demands

NEW DELHI, (IPR): Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang along with Arun Upreti, Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly, and cabinet ministers Kunga Nima Lepcha, Sonam Lama, BS Panth, Mingma Norbu Sherpa and Bhim Hang Limboo called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday at North Block, New Delhi.

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang apprised the pressing issues of Sikkim regarding tribal status to 12 left-out communities, reservation of seats for Limboo -Tamang community in State Legislative Assembly and visit of His Holiness Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje to Sikkim.

The Chief Minister requested for early and expeditious resolution of these long pending issues by the Government of India.

The Union Home minister listened patiently and assured that these issues of Sikkim will be considered favorably.
